Ritter’s Realtor® Spotlight: Zach Zander

IT’S A MINEFIELD

Meet Zach Zander, an 11-year veteran Agent with the Long & Foster’s Bel Air Central Office in Bel Air, Maryland. Zach’s passion for selling real-estate began after he and his wife purchased their first home. With the impending rise in real estate prices at that time, they soon felt it was time to purchase another property as an investment. After his own experiences of navigating “the minefield of a process,” Zach felt led to assist others in their home buying ventures, stating that “connecting with families on such an intimate level is a joy.” Thus, his career as a Realtor® was born.

As an Agent for Long & Foster, Zach likes the company’s methods of listing properties. “They go above and beyond with advertisements. The name recognition is also helpful.”

HAVRE DE GRACE

A Harford County resident, Zach lives just two miles from the water in beautiful Havre de Grace. He, his wife, and two sons enjoy the multitude of activities accessible to the residents there: Boating, hiking, biking, running, and berry picking. The Susquehanna hiking trails and Chesapeake Bay are just part of the natural beauty abundant in the area, which is why it is not only his home, but also Zach’s primary place of business. He also sells properties in surrounding Cecil and Baltimore Counties.

PROFESSIONALISM

Zach is serious about providing exceptional customer service and considers his responsiveness to customer needs a top priority. When it comes to responding to a request or question from his clients, whether it be by phone, text, or email, Zach says, “My goal is to respond as quickly and thoroughly as possible.” He applies that same standard to other industry professionals he chooses to partner with. He expects that they treat his clients with the utmost care and provide the same level of professionalism that he works so hard to maintain. “They have to meet my high standards of how they conduct themselves professionally.” See below for a list of professionals that Zach recommends to his clients.

ADVICE

Zach’s advice to sellers is “Declutter, declutter, declutter! You want your home to look as close to a model as possible without going insane. Also, be realistic about pricing.” As for buyers, Zach recommends working with a seasoned Realtor®. “The process can be challenging – especially with unique properties, old properties, or properties on well and septic. A lot can go wrong.” He advises buyers to, “put your trust in a professional who will keep your stress level at bay.” Speaking of things going wrong, Zach has a lot of experience in short sales. “It’s a unique and tricky process,” he says. He has experience in getting clients “through to the other side, and able to buy again.”

FINAL NOTES

When not busy with helping clients, Zach enjoys time with his family. He is also a marathon runner and world traveler. Juggling all that isn’t easy, but Zach is doing something right because in 2015, he settled 24 properties for a total of $6 million in sales.
